1. The Short Story: How Long is My Warranty?
- Globally: Your HOVERAir comes with a 1-year free warranty on all main components and the unit itself when bought from official channels.
- In Europe (EEA): You're covered for 2 years on most parts.
If an issue pops up due to a manufacturing defect (like a material or workmanship problem) during this time, we’ve got it covered—including inspection, labor, and replacement parts. If the damage is your fault or the warranty has expired, repairs will have a fee.
2. Let's Break It Down: Warranty Periods at a Glance
Here’s exactly how long each part is covered, depending on where you are:
| Region | Covered Parts | Warranty Period |
|---|---|---|
| Global (outside Europe/EEA) | Mainboard, ESC Board, Gimbal, Battery (under 200 charge cycles) | 12 months |
| European Economic Area (EEA) | Mainboard, ESC Board, Gimbal | 24 months |
| European Economic Area (EEA) | Battery (under 200 charge cycles) | 12 months |
| Global (including EEA) | Appearance parts, Cosmetic parts, Beacon Button, Control Knobs, etc. | No warranty |
Heads-up for our European friends: Even with your extended 2-year coverage, please note the battery warranty is still 12 months.
3. When Does the Clock Start Ticking?
Your warranty starts from your purchase invoice date or the date you first activate the product—whichever comes first.
4. What Are the 4 Conditions for Free Warranty Service?
To get that free repair or replacement, you need to tick all these boxes:
a. You Bought It the Right Way: From our official website (www.hoverair.com), official flagship stores, or authorized dealers (online or offline). Keep your invoice or order screenshot handy!
b. It’s a Manufacturing Flaw: The problem is due to a defect in materials or workmanship—not something you did.
c. You’re Still in the Warranty Period: Your product is within the timeframes listed in the table above.
d. You Pack It Well: If we ask you to send it back, use the original packaging or something just as protective. And don’t forget to back up your data first!
5. The Fine Print: What’s NOT Covered?
In short, if it doesn't meet the conditions above, it's likely not covered. Here are the most common reasons:
- Accidental Damage: Drops, crashes, water damage, fire... you get the idea.
- Flyaway & Water Damage with No Proof: If your drone flies away or gets water-damaged and you can't provide valid flight logs or third-party video evidence showing it was caused by a product defect, we’ll have to classify it as accidental damage, which isn’t covered.
- DIY Disasters: Any unauthorized modifications, DIY repairs, or using non-certified parts.
- Wearing It Out: Normal wear and tear on things like the battery or propellers.
- Expired Warranty: Sorry, but once the period is up, it's up.
- Mother Nature: Damage from natural disasters or other "acts of God."

6. Need to Use Your Warranty? Here’s How (3 Easy Steps)
Step 1: Email Us
- Drop a line to support@hoverair.com.
- Make sure to include:
- What happened: A clear description of the issue.
- The evidence: If it's a flyaway or water damage, attach any flight logs or videos you have. This helps us a ton!
- Proof of purchase: Your invoice or order screenshot.
- Product ID: A photo of the product's SN code (you can find it on the box or the drone itself).
Step 2: Get Your RMA
- Our tech team will take a look and may ask for more info.
- If it looks like a warranty case, we’ll email you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form, the return address, and a shipping label (if available in your region).
Step 3: Ship It & Relax
- Pack it up securely and send it our way.
- We’ll inspect it within 3-5 business days.
- Covered? We'll repair or replace it for free and ship it back—no cost to you.
- Not covered? We'll send you a repair quote. You'll have 10 days to say yes. If you decide not to proceed, you just pay for the return shipping.
Quick Tip: We have repair centers in the US Mainland, Germany, Hong Kong, the UK, and Shenzhen, but always check with us at support@hoverair.com before sending anything.
7. A Few More Things to Know After Repair
- Old Parts: Any parts we replace become our property.
- Your Data: It's on you to back it up. We can’t guarantee it won't be affected during repair.
- Storage Fees: If a package is returned to us because of an issue on your end (like non-delivery), we’ll store it for 45 days for free. After that, it's $10 per day. If those fees add up to the product's value, we may have to dispose of it.
8. A Special Note for Our European Union (EEA) Users
If you bought your HOVERAir in the EEA:
- You're legally entitled to a 2-year warranty for most parts (lucky you!).
- Just a reminder: the battery warranty is 1 year.
- Keep your proof of purchase safe, and remember the "non-human-caused damage" rule applies here too.
9. The Bottom Line
Here's your warranty mantra: "Buy official, fly smart, keep proof, and reach out fast." Follow these, and you're golden!
If you ever need us, just email support@hoverair.com.
Happy flying, and thanks for being part of the HOVERAir family! 🎈
