Use this guide when the HOVERAir app cannot complete a firmware update or when your device becomes unresponsive.
Compatible devices: X1 PRO, X1 PROMAX, AQUA, Beacon, Lighthouse
Not compatible: X1 Smart, X1 (use HOVER App for these models)
🔍 Common Issues You Might Encounte
Below are detailed symptoms that FlyKit can resolve. If you recognize any of these, follow the steps in this guide.
1. Firmware Update Failed
- The update started in the HOVERAir app but stopped at a certain percentage.
- You saw an error message: “Update failed”, “Download error”, or “Installation interrupted”.
- The update was interrupted because the device lost power, the app closed, or the connection dropped.
2. Device Won’t Power On or Is Unresponsive
- Pressing the power button does nothing – screen stays black, no lights.
- The device turns on but gets stuck on a loading screen (e.g., three dots that never go away).
- The device restarts repeatedly (boot loop) without finishing startup.
3. “Three Dots” Won’t Go Away
- After an update attempt, your device displays three blinking dots (or a spinning animation) for more than 10 minutes.
- The device is unresponsive to button presses.
- This usually means the firmware is corrupted or incomplete.
4. App Shows Update Error Even After Retrying
- The HOVERAir app says “Update required” but every attempt fails.
- You have tried restarting the device and the app, but the error persists.
5. Device Cannot Activate (New or Reset Device)
- The activation process in the app hangs or returns an error.
- The device is detected by the app but cannot complete the final setup step.
6. Device Cannot Connect to Your Phone / Remote
- Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection repeatedly drops.
- The device appears in the app but cannot establish a stable link.
- Beacon shows “Connecting…” forever even when physically close to the device.
7. Lighthouse Controller Has Button or Joystick Issues
- Some buttons do not respond.
- Joystick movement is erratic or not recognized.
- The controller pairs but does not control the device properly.
8. After Water Exposure (AQUA only)
- The device worked in water but later became unresponsive or shows update errors.
- The USB‑C port was wet when you tried to charge or connect.
✅ Before You Start – Requirements
- A Windows PC or Mac with a stable internet connection.
- Dual‑head Type‑C data cable (for X1 PRO, PROMAX, AQUA, Beacon). Do not use adapters or USB hubs.
- Standard USB‑C cable (for Lighthouse only).
- Device battery at least 50% charged (or connect charger during update).
- For AQUA: Make sure the device is completely dry – no moisture in the USB‑C port or anywhere on the body.
