    I got my Hover X1 a few days ago.

    The battery fits very tightly - I think it's a “good, secure fit” rather than “too tight” though.

    To remove, just grip the battery on the indentations either side of the “HOVER” logo and, holding the body of the device tightly (NOT the propellor area!) just pull the battery away from the body.

    I agree with Pete, the tight fit of the battery is a positive feature. I have had a couple of cheap drones that have suddenly fallen out of the sky when batteries vibrate loose. However, the vagueness of the instruction manual on many issues is a serious problem. I hope that this discussion forum will fill the gap…especially if ZeroZero experts take part and eventually transfer the best advice to its FAQ.
